We’ve already met head of the family James Barton
(Bill Ward) who’s now back in sister-in-law Moira (Natalie J. Robb) life after
his bad boy son Ross (Michael Parr) stumbled into her kitchen with a gun shot
wound. Now we’re set to meet the rest of the family…
Pete Barton played by ex-Hollyoaks
actor Anthony Quinlan who’s the eldest of James’ sons. Unlike Ross, Pete is one
of the good guys who’s followed the family farming tradition. On his new role
Anthony said “I'm really excited to
be part of Emmerdale as it’s an iconic serial drama. I'm privileged to be
working with such a great cast and crew on a fantastic production”
Finn Barton played by Joe Gill is the
youngest and brainiest of the bunch. Not keen on the farming tradition he’ll be
looking for work away from the cows and sheep. Joe commented “I'm very grateful to be given this
opportunity. The cast and crew have been class with me so far and the fact I’m
able to learn from these experienced professionals everyday is just brilliant.
I’m hoping my character can contribute to how amazing the show is doing at the
moment."
With mounting debts James make the decision to
swallow his pride and move his family in with Moira and co. But with hot-headed
Cain (Jeff Hordley) and territorial son Adam (Adam Thomas) already in situ
sparks are sure to fly. Can the newly increased Barton family find a way of
living under one roof together?
