X Factor - Arena Auditions Two

Sunday saw us head back to the arena to see how the next batch of hopeful faired in front of the 4000 strong crowd and thankfully it was a much better all round episode than the last arena auditions.

The show was powered off to a fabulous start by white van driver Shelley, who had grown so much vocally, we fear she may be tarnished with the ‘cabaret’ brush in the future but with 4 big yes’s from the judges it was off to book camp she went.

Jade Richards was up next, delivering a unique tone and a soulful voice. Is she getting too drained though? Even saying herself she ' feels like I’m under so much pressure this year'. We agree with the comments to judges made, but hopefully with the perfect song and a bit of feeling she’ll wow us once again.

Louis was almost blubbering again as Melanie McCabe hit the stage. Strong vocals and hopes and dreams in tow, she pieced together a breathtaking performance of titanium. Easily one of our favourite arena auditions so far we’ve instantly tweeted she’s our tip for the win. 4th time lucky? Just maybe.

Another act from the previous nights comeback montage, The Dolly Rockers were up. After giving an urban rendition of End Of Time it was a definite no. Even a few years preparation couldn’t get them through to bootcamp.

Euphoria Girls were back with added 'edge', sort of. We were taught that of we had nothing nice to say we should say nothing at all...

Luke Friend, was back this week, rocky tones and unwashed hair in tow. He’s cheeky, he’s likeable, he can sing… he’s bound to do well. We like him, but we wouldn’t want a whole concert from him.

Football coach Tom Mann was also back from the first show and gave us a cover of 2011's winner Little Mix's song 'How Ya Doin?'. His voice is like, well, erm, something extremely pleasant to our ears. Almost didn’t recognise the song as he easily made it his own and sailed through to bootcamp.

Boom and she's back down to earth. After the highs and adorations from her ‘Room Audition’ Relley C was welcomed to the stage with real excitement. However an awful song choice and some lackluster vocals left us more than underwhelmed, it’d have been a no from us but surprisingly the judges gave her a second chance. Undermines the importance and need of this round slightly though.

Last but not least. Saved the best till last. All the clichés were apt. Abi Alton took to the stage having impressed 3 out of 4 judges in her ‘Room Audition’. Song choice was a key topic after Relley C’s performance and as the build up VT got underway we were a little nervous for what was about to happen. Abi stood unassuming in the centre of the stage and declared she was to sing an original song she wrote about heartbreak, we need not of worried, her vocals, the lyrics, we became instant fans. Impressing Louis and again the rest of the judges Abi was sent packing to bootcamp.
