It’s back! ITV comedy Benidorm returns for an
impressive 6th series. It’s amassed a huge following over the years
thanks to it’s array of mad but lovable characters and laugh out load comedy.
This series the newly four-starred Solana opens
for the summer with Joyce Temple-Savage, (Sherrie Hewson) still in charge.
She’s hoping Donald (Kenny Ireland) and Jacqueline (Janine Duvitski) won’t
remember that free holiday she promised them, no such luck.
Staff members Mateo (Jake Canuso), Lesley (Tim
Healy) and Liam (Adam Gillen) return along with Kenneth (Tony Maudsley) who’s
concerned about some mysterious and intimidating messages he’s been getting.
Liam now works alongside Kenneth in Blow n’ Go whereas Lesley had his sights
set on becoming the Solana’s assistant manager. Mateo has a new rival, Jason
(Philip Olivier) who’s both competitor in work and conquests.
It wouldn’t be Benidorm without the Garvey family
sunning themselves by the Solana swimming pool. As you’d expect things don’t get
off to a great start, Mick (Steve Pemberton) is stuck at the airport after
being detained when something dodgy was found in Madge’s (Sheila Reid)
suitcase. Janice (Siobhan Finneran), Madge and Michael (Ollie Stokes) head off
to the hotel without him where they meet a family of newcomers, Clive (Perry
Benson), Tonya (Hannah Waddingham) and son Tiger (Danny Walters) who already want
to leave. Tiger spots a potential partner in crime as he sports Michael by the
pool, mischief follows.
Familiar face Martin Weedon (Nick Burns) returns
to the Solana, single and on the hunt for fun with a rowdy stage party. Matthew
Kelly is also back as Cyril Babcock whilst Rustie Lee, The Krankies and Joan
Collins make their VIP debuts in the final episode of the series.
We can’t wait.
