Last week’s Scott & Bailey saw us wave
goodbye to Sergeant Rob and the historic missing persons case solved. It was
possibly one of our favourite ever episodes of the show, it didn’t have the
dramatic moments of past episodes but it had an authentic realness that felt as
though we were watching a real syndicate, solve a real crime, it’s something no
other police drama can do. It’s why we love Scott & Bailey.
Episode three sees Rachel’s mum back on the scene
and after promising the chaos of her personal life would no longer interfere in
her job it couldn’t have come at a worse time. Especially when Rachel discovers
that her mother’s new boyfriend is a violent domestic abuser.
This week Syndicate 9 have to solve the case of
Rich Hutchings murder when their neighbour Barry finds him murdered in the flat
he shares with his husband Adam. Barry goes straight to the top of their
suspect list as an outspoken and violent homophobe. Things aren’t as
straightforward as they seem though as Adam’s friend Tim can’t remember what
happened during their night out…
Also on tonight’s episode Janet goes on her first
date but the idea of having to meet someone knew and win them over gives her
cold feet at the last minute.
