This is where X Factor really starts! They’ve
wheedled out the nutters (mostly) and we’re left with a bunch of semi-talented
to super-star worthy performers. It’s our first Friday night installment of
bootcamp action, and it’s brilliantly brutal!
The show starts with showing us how some familiar
faces are making their way to bootcamp, tube, train, bus… nothing too fancy.
Then the action starts; sort of.
The first challenge sees girls sing alongside
girls, boys alongside boys, groups alongside groups and over 25’s alongside
over 25’s. When we say see, we don’t actually see them in action, we assume
they all sang their little hearts out before they were whittled down to just
57.
Once the mass cull is breezed over its time for
the remaining acts to meet their mentors!! Cue screaming, arms flailing and
near take-down-mad-rush-hugs!
Simon – The Overs
Cheryl – The Girls
Louis – The Groups
Mel B – The Boys
Then what everyone has been waiting for – except
the contestants of course, the six-chair challenge! First up is Cheryl and her
girls…
Lola Saunders
Even through the tears Lola blew everyone away in
her arena audition. Will her huge voice bag her a seat?
Finally – Cece Peniston
Chloe-Jasmine
Having charmed the judges with both her bluesy
voice and fabulous personality will she be able to impress Cheryl enough to
take a seat?
I Want It That Way – Backstreet Boys
Shanay Holmes
Having previously split the panel with Simon
stating he couldn’t work with her will she be able to keep Cheryl onside for a
seat?
Read All About It – Emeli Sande
Stephanie Nala
Having impressed the judges after going solo
Stephanie is out to impress again and grab herself a seat.
Wicked Game – Chris Isaak
Orla Keogh
Another who’s split the panel in the past, the
girls found her mesmerising whilst the boys found her annoying. Does this bode
well for her chances of a seat?
Just Be Good To Me – S.O.S Band
Monica Michael
After wowing everyone with her emotional original
song in the room audition, reducing Cheryl to tears. Will she be able to create
that same emotion with a cover to take a seat?
Troublemaker – Olly Murs
Kayleigh Manners
She’s struggled in the past with her confidence
so will Kayleigh be able to handle the pressure of the six-chair challenge?
Ho Hey – The Lumineers
Ten Senah
Will Ten keep her promise to take the competition
serious? If she does will she manage to take one of Cheryl’s seats?
Love On Top – Beyonce
Emily Middlemas
She showed what she could really do during her
arena audition, will it be the same again for Emily, grabbing herself a seat?
Anything Could Happen – Ellie Goulding
Chloe O’Gorman
Deciding to take on a Whitney song is a huge
task. Will it be a risk worthy of taking a seat?
I Didn’t Know My Own Strength – Whitney Houston
Lauren Platt
Cheryl tells Lauren she got all the judges
fighting over who was going to get the girls category, will she live up to
their expectations and take one of the seats?
Man In The Mirror – Michael Jackson
Kerrianne Covell
She’s been consistently one of the best girls in
the competition, did she peek too soon or is there much more to come from
Kerrianne that’s worthy of a seat?
Gravity – Sara Bareilles
After all the girls have sung Cheryl has her six
chairs filled and it looks like we know who’s heading off to judges houses, but
then she utters the words ‘I’ve made a mistake, I’ve made such a big mistake. I
want to bring…. back’ Then all hell breaks loose!
