Former X Factor Star Alexandra Burke has
parted ways with her record label RCA.
Echo’s of ‘mutual decision’ to save face
will be heard as it was a case of Alex being unhappy with the label and the
label being unhappy with her.
After initial success with Syco when
winning the X Factor back in 2008 her latest singles and album haven’t faired
to well in the charts, ‘Heartbreak On Hold’ sold just shy of 7,000 copies
peaking at No.18 and last single ‘Let Her Go’ only just got into the top 40
charting at No.33. Compared to first single ‘Hallelujah’ selling over 100,000
copies in a single day, still holding the record for most amount of sales in 24
hours.
Bit of a decline in chart success I think
its fair to say. Perhaps Alex will have to go cuddle up with Mr Selfridge again
to make things better,
