Made in Chelsea is back, and
barring a new location 3,500 miles away in New York City not much else has
changed. There's the same old drama, same old ridiculously posh accents and
same old brilliant bust-ups between the show's stars.
It's the first time the producers
have taken the show to NYC for this six-episode special and they've spoiled the
viewers even more by whacking four new cast members to the mix.
Rumoured to be some of the most
elite faces on the New York party scene, the series premier introduced
Dallas-born luxury real estate agent Carson Eisenhart, fashionista Billie
Carroll, leather business co-owner Alik Alfus and model/film maker Jules
Hamilton. Each of which, for the record, is definitely not ugly or short of a
bob or two! We only meet Alik and Billie in episode one though.
MIC stalwarts including Binky
Felstead, Spencer ‘Spenny’ Matthews, Jamie Laing, Lucy Watson and Louise
Thompson joined the newbies. And it got very interesting!
Here's what we learnt…
1. They all sound extra posh when
chatting to Americans.
2. Even in a city as huge as New
York, the cast still randomly bumps into each other.
3. Mark Francis and Victoria remain
a totally unique species of utter brilliance!
4. Binky has finally ditched Lego
hair Alex.
5. Fran still has lovely ombré
hair!
6. Jamie and Spencer are like the
chuckle brothers only slightly more groomed; however they’ve got the ‘to me, to
you’ of women sharing down to a fine art.
7. It’s only going to be a matter
of time before Jamie tells Billie he loves her.
8. There's 103 reasons why we love
Lucy the fact she declared Rosie as a bitch is just one of them.
9. Proudlock and new guy Alik know
each other from the fashion scene. We think there’s a rule where you have to be
ridiculously good-looking to be part of this scene.
10. Spencer looked at Alik like a
new silverback gorilla had walked into his enclosure. They'll be throwing shit at
each other in no time.
11. Lucy made friends with an
actual girl despite Victoria doing her best to warn new chum Billie off… we’ve
seen drag queens that are more subtle.
12. We're not quite sure what the
one rolled up sleeve means. It looks like some kind if prison signal to attract
fellow bois.
13. We want a relationship like
Stevie and Lucy’s
14. Binky’s attempt at having a
normal conversation with Cheska pre-apology was awkward much.
15. Alik holds the new MIC record
for shortest time taken to ask someone out on a date. Spenny you’re letting the
side down.
16. Early entry for the best quote
award is coming up next week from Jamie “go back to London you prick I fucking
hate you” whilst crying... actual crying.
We cannot wait for episode two! What
the heck has Mytton done?!
