It’s week two of BBC1’s new star-studded
gymnastics show Tumble and a gaggle of swimwear-clad pro’s opened the night by
carrying host Alex Jones out as she introduced the programme.
One by one she brought out the celebs and their
partners to a loud and cheering audience before announcing that tonight, for
the first time in the series, somebody would be leaving at the end of the show.

These scores meant that Andrea had to face the
dreaded vault-off alongside Peter.
Whilst they prepared, we were treated to a
stunning performance from gymnastic legend Beth Tweddle and the future Team GB
stars. This incorporated beam, floor and bars and included some pretty
butterfly props and incredible group synchronisation, all to Take That’s Rule
The World.
Vault off no. 1 – Peter Duncan
A fast run up, good take off, not bad handstand whilst
in the air but legs separated lead to a wobble and fall on landing.
Vault off no. 2 – Andrea McLean
A good run up, strong take off, well executed
(but with a straddle instead of a spin), much smoother landing.
Judge Nina Comaneci had the deciding vote and slightly
bizarrely opted to save Peter even after saying Andrea had a better vault and
landing. We guess he was more daring!
So Andrea McLean becomes the first victim of the
terrible Tumble. She was very gracious in defeat and possibly just relieved to
rest her buggered ankles.
Next week is trampoline, beam and bars. Bring it
on!
