Last Night (30th April) we were lucky
enough to be invited along to the Secret Diva Lashes launch. It was the first
ever celeb filled bash we’ve been to and it definitely didn’t disappoint.
We arrived ‘fashionably’ early and loitered
outside the venue with the eagerly awaiting paps; yep we’re THAT cool. The
venue wasn’t just any old venue it was Steam And Rye, a late night Americana
themed bar and restaurant that wouldn’t look out of place in Great Gatsby, and
just so happens to be owned by Kelly Brook. The bar is fast becoming thee place
for celebrities to be seen and it’s no real surprise. The main area is
spectacular, there is no other way to describe it, but we were ushered up to a
private room that was the perfect place for a party. Intimate yet not cramped
with an array of old suitcases, retro drinks crates and a life size giraffes
head, somehow none of which looked out of place.
The wonderful event was the result of some serious planning from PR whizz Kym from Krystal PR and Management. Kym greeted us at the door looking as glamourous as any celeb in attendance, there was some serious heels being shown off. You'd think after all the hard-work of planning the seamless bash she'd be off enjoying a drink but you'd be wrong, Kym spent the night greeting, introducing and keeping everyone blissfully happy. We know who we'd want in our celebrity corner!
It wasn’t long before more people started to
arrive and the fantastic cocktails were in full flow. One of the first to arrive
was TOWIE star ‘Little’ Chris Drake along with the beautiful Farah from new hit
MTV show Ex On The Beach, both of who were dressed to impress. The early life
of the party was celebrity detox Juicetou founder Germaine, she made us feel
perfectly at home (even if we did look a little out of place) and was hilarious
to chat to, you should definitely check out their detox, juicetou.com an endless list of
celebs have had fantastic results using them. Lydia Lucy, who is without a
doubt going to be a star someday soon looked cute in her perfectly styled
outfit. Casey Batchelor arrived looking immaculate and was soon tucked away in
a corner having a lengthy catch-up with Luisa Zissman; who by the way is beyond
lovely. We fell a little bit in love when Kirk Norcross arrived, who we’ll now
refer to as Kirk the professional singer; apparently we can look forward to some more
music from him in the near future. Kirk was handsome, not just standard
handsome but manly godlike-smelling handsome; we touched him appropriately. A
little later in the night Chelsee Healey and Gina Rio arrived, we didn’t get
the chance to chat to queen Gina but we imagine she’s just as wonderful as she
appeared on last years BBUK, she certainly oozed fabulous.
Overall it was a fantastic evening, everything
from the lashes, to the venue was a delight. We can’t wait to try out or new
Secret Diva lashes.
