Review - Imagine Dragons

Las Vegas based American alternative rock band Imagine Dragons have exploded onto the scene and are set for huge success after the release of debut album Night Visions in September 2012.

The seven-some are proud to create a rock themed sound, introducing fresh beats and background noises to create something very special indeed.

They have certainly come a long way since playing the cheapest bars across American states. Lead singer Dan Reynolds reminisces back to them time when their stage room was so small they would literally play a set squashed in almost on top of one another.

It's invigorating to see such a success story. Imagine Dragons are so humble about what they do, describing themselves as a group of guys who knew the struggles it would take to break into such an industry. Their ethos being that of "emotional struggle" and this is central to the sounds found on their brilliant debut album.

After the huge success of debut single Radioactive, excitement was brewing over what direction Night Visions would take. It's a heart felt album without being too melodramatic or depressing. They are definitely anthemic with Tiptoe being a personal favourite of mine.

Recieving huge praise for their live
performances and energetic sets Imagine Dragons are heading to the UK to play both Reading and Leeds later on this month.

If you haven't yet added this brilliant album to your playlists I definitely recommend getting it on their for the weekend. Perfect to wake you up on those Monday mornings with inspirational track "Its time"

I hold this album so highly and would go as far to say as one of my top choices for this year despite its late release last year it's cemented it's position in the album chart as a constant top five and ten success and after a listen you'll definitely see why.

Dan Reynolds described its purpose as "We hope it inspires others to create and push through their own struggle"
